Ferris Agricultural Fund
The Roger Ferris Agricultural Fund has been established in order to assist in the preservation of farmland and to assist in the acquisition of farms by young farmers in Orange County, NY. Grants will be provided to complete surveys necessary in the donation of land or the completion of conservation easements with landowners or farmers who are partnering with the Orange County Land Trust. In addition, it is the intent of the founders of the fund that the Roger Ferris Agricultural Fund provide a dedicated funding source for a variety of agricultural education and leadership programs. It is our hope that proceeds from the fund will be used to promote an annual seminar on the issues of sustainable farming.
