About:
Website for the nonprofit River Pool, a rainbow-colored circular floating pool with a netted bottom securely installed in the Hudson River. The site features lots of great images, about the pool and their annual swim event, registration links, photos, videos, history of the pool and much more. The late Pete Seeger, noted American folk singer, and his wife Toshi, were social/environmental activists, and founding members of River Pool. They believed that River stewardship begins with being on, near, and in the river. We could not agree more, and are honored to have worked with this amazing organization!

“The River Pool is a rainbow-colored circular floating pool with a netted bottom securely installed in the Hudson River. It is located off the north shore of Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, in Beacon, NY. Swimmers safely sit, float, and play in the River Pool to cool off while an on-duty lifeguard is present.

The Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon Hudson River Swim proceeds are used to maintain and operate The River Pool and further the mission of The River Pool at Beacon.”
